Located just minutes from Urbana in Frederick, Maryland, my studio provides a warm, structured environment where violin students of all ages can thrive. With decades of experience teaching in New York City and the Washington, D.C. metro area, I believe every child can succeed when supported with expert guidance and consistent encouragement.
I specialize in teaching beginner to intermediate students, focusing on the critical early stages of violin study. The Suzuki Method of Talent Education has been and is widely used in violin studios and conservatories around the world. Interestingly, a majority of today's conservatory students, concert artists, and, professional musicians started their instruction within a Suzuki styled teaching environment.
The Suzuki Method is built on the belief that every child can learn and grow through music, just as they learn language—by listening, imitation, and encouragement.
Rooted in the idea that environment shapes ability, Suzuki instruction nurtures not just technical skill, but character, confidence, and curiosity.
In my studio, I combine this philosophy with individualized attention and traditional rigor. With consistent practice, supportive parent involvement, and positive reinforcement, students thrive as musicians and well-rounded individuals.
Learning the violin isn’t just another activity—it’s a journey that takes time, attention, and a real commitment from the whole family. When music becomes a priority, amazing things can happen.
As a passionate and certified Suzuki music educator, I love sharing my knowledge and experience with students of all ages and abilities. My background gives me a special focus in teaching beginner and intermediate violinists—helping them build technique, musicality, and confidence from the ground up.
My studio offers a friendly, encouraging atmosphere where students are invited to dive deeply into music, develop essential technical skills, and grow in creativity, expression, and appreciation for the arts.
